I think the Fed has to raise rates, just to keep up with what's happened in the bond market since the last increase. In December, the FOMC telegraphed that it would increase rates in 2000 when it said that the reason it wasn't changing anything in December was because of Y2K concerns. They did not state that economic conditions didn't justify an increase.

Since then bonds have fallen substantially. They'll have to increase just to maintain balance between market rates and the "official" (i.e., Fed) rates.

My system says tomorrow is another risky day. I went into the market on Thursday, got the nice Friday and Monday gains, then took profits on Tuesday. Now I'm waiting for the next good buying opportunity.

JP OT..............................................

I am inching towards your PM will shortly reply, I apologise for the delay.. best regards Ike
By the way

Thanks for your analysis. What about the FED though?

What if they raise .25?. it is built in we test 1455 maximum if we are at 1467 or higher at 1428 we rally at 1382 we will have big rally..
What if they raise .25 and maintain bias to tighten?.. we will sell and hit 1382 from 1467 but will hold the support..
What if they raise .50? we will see 1330 in 10 sessions and range will shift from 1382-1478 to 1310 to 1382 as 1382 becomes the top and NDX 3100 will be the support .. fwiw.. just some thinking..
