I don't know what you are talking about. Of course property taxes and SS are different - the point is that one group voted the same way (to protect themselves and bolster their own benefits) in all cases I think, no matter who else they screwed.

I can't think of any cases where "the elderly" caved on much of anything anyway. Maybe there was somewhere back in history where they made a sacrifice.
