V, I know you've mentioned selling DIM calls after this run you are expecting. What if the correction you are looking for never materializes or happens to a much lesser extent?

DIM calls if covering stock will surely get called away under this scenario. Assuming Q gets to about $170-$190 after earnings, would it be prudent to sell S/T OOM calls at say around $220-$250? The premiums for these calls are still quite high due to Q's volatile nature and the chance of having your stock called away lessens.

The last thing I'd want to end up doing would be to have to chase down DIM calls sold at about $180 if Q decides to make a run for $250.

Sad day here in charlotte.

You can tell by the posts who have Dry Powder and the ones that don't.

<g> Yeppers! Used most of my dry powder last week, used more today, have a plan for restocking over the rest of the month, and I know where the fire exit doors are in the meantime. I'm salivating at the thought of a February correction.

Thanks for sharing your market reads with us Voltaire, we appreciate it. ("we" = me, wife, stock account, but not my employer :-)

Let us not forget that there are important numbers coming out tomorrow. Th Q will not be immune to these numbers. Bad numbers and the NASDAQ could have its worst point loss day ever and the Q will go down with it. Neutral or good number and the NASDAQ will start to recover and so will the Q.

Still long.

Something light and cool and it ain't J_E_L_L-O!! I purchased my Qualcom/Globalstar phone yesterday. Heading for Aruba, etc. Sunday on a cruise. Gotta keep up with the market.

O.K. here is the deal. Phone $1499.00 service $29.00 a month, + Regular price of $1.69 per minute Special (1/2 price $.85) because they have not completed the world wide service. Hey that's OK with me it works every where I plan to go anytime soon.

Got home with the phone and was a little disappointed as to it working. I live in a condo and next to a tall concrete building causes problems unless I want to purchase my own receiver for $1,000.00 then it will work in house, in car, etc.

Now I was a little worried about the phone, my investments, etc. Well not any more. I took the phone and headed for the beach. Just as soon as I cleared my building by 20 feet it kicked in, clear as it could be. Had a Signal every which of way unless I pointed it towards the ground. Could not get interference. The salesman said they have 3 satellites covering each location. I am so proud of this phone and how handy it will come in on my travels of which I plan to do a lot of. You can have your regular cellular phone through the same phone but I decided to continue using my small regular cell phone. I will use this on out of the country trips only. It will only cost the $29.00 a month to keep on the shelf. This makes 4 cell phones, and 4 different lines between me and my husband. When you live in South Florida it is a good habit to have a cell phone in your car at all times ( I have one installed in my car so it is always there) Not bragging! Just trying to show you the usage, future and demand of the hand held phone. "CHIPS, CHIPS CHIPS A HOY".

The salesman that sold it to me is very excited with Globalstar and has placed his money on it. Spoke very highly of Qcom and believe me they had all kinds of gadgets in that store. He also said that a couple of guys that work for QCOM came to him for the phones. I guess they are in great demand at QCOM. If you would like one and can't find one PM me and I will tell you where you can get one. They are in Florida.

And another thing. I asked if I could hook up to the internet and he said it is ready but will be released in February???? Timing--Timing---Timing.

And just one more thing. I went to my tax man.....he assured me that we will have a great market this year. His assurance comes form the first five days of the year. If they are good we have a good market that year. Something like 45 out of 50 years this has been the case. War time usually changed things. Just another person's TA (opinion).

Don't Worry! Be Happy!

Here's my two bits worth: I've said it before and I will say it again, the market is just like our Florida weather, "If you don't like it, hang around it will change." Hey! If it doesn't I will send Greg (expensive, not taking to big of a chance) bottle of Dom! Why not Ripple or Mogan David. Never can find them on the wine list. I could not drink a bottle of Dom unless I was celebrating something like __________. I can't even think of a reason. I rather put the money towards a downpayment on a Jag. LOL

smile! ;-)

Amazing how a little dip in a stock and the seemingly loss of something material brings out the insecurities in people. What is
fascinating is how weak some of the people I had admired in the past have become.

I refuse to lower myself to this level. This is not a time for cutting, it is a time for reason. I would think if most on this thread
would look around they would see how much they have to be thankful for. I would hope most of you were buying like I was all
day.

At any rate, no ill will toward anyone.

Now:

First of all this is not the correction I talked about. Remember- what day of the week is it in the mist of a scare? yep, Wed. The
Naz will begin climbing back by at least tomorrow afternoon. All that is happening in here is the acclimation mentally by the
market of higher rates, no problem. People who are down about Q, don't be. Minimum $170 by earnings and they will be blowout
with split.

Remember the correction will not come about naturally, it will be orchestrated by the Houses in Feb. The climb to $170 or better
should start tomorrow.

Hang in there! you will like what is coming.

You can tell by the posts who have Dry Powder and the ones that don't.Fantastic opportunity in here, WOW!
