Skeeter, a lot of things seem to be known by some even though they haven't been announced. Take McCamant's estimate of $100M in sales. I couldn't have come up with that number no matter how hard I'd tried. Not without including the B-cell lymphoma indications. The information was apparently available even though Ligand hasn't been blowing trumpets about it. Not yet anyway.

In regard to the rotation away from the Internet issues, I think that's well under way. A lot of people would like to take their massive gains before everyone decides to head for the door. Among them are surely some significant funds.

Of major interest will be the next short figure. If it isn't up, then the recent trading pattern cannot have been caused by short sellers manipulating the stock - on some days, there were enough small chunks on upticks followed by large blocks on downticks that it could have been shorting - and if that's so, then the only possible explanation I can see is major accumulation.

All speculation; the next few weeks should tell the story well enough.

Cheers, Torben
