I got involved with one of these half-ass daytrading firms on the internet a few years ago. I was just starting out, and it seemed so legit to me. Page after page of huge returns,suposedly with a guaranteed 78% winning percentage. Also, all the shills and "plants" on the board constantly selling just how fantastic and lucky we all were to be allowed The privledge of giving this guru money every month. Coming from a sales background, I saw the B.S. straight away and even had my first month's money returned! This was only because of the chat room where I berated the "trader" and basically tried to tell everyone they were being duped. One poor girl had just opened an account with Datek for $15000. They touted a lousy stock at the open and she bought 1,000 shares@ 12 with a market order, then sold for 5 with another market order about 1/2 hour later.She could not believe that she had lost 7k so soon. Poor thing didn't know what hit her.HER FIRST day. It was sickening. I hope these con men get what they deserve. SjS
