Thank you for the kind reply. To my way of thinking I don't see how investing ( or any endeavor for that matter) can be successful without a positive frame of mind. I doubt anything worthwhile has ever been achieved under a spirit of pessimism or criticism. I certainly don't mind trying to learn from the experiences of those who have gone before me. Especially if they are willing to share their wisdom to help others( a mark of a truly successful person in life.)
