That was not my question, Christopher. I asked why you answered yes to a question asking if it is greedy for someone to want what that someone is entitled to by law?

I never said legal entitlement and greed were one and the same thing. The definitions you provided for greed and avarice refer to excessive and inordinate desires for wealth.

I repeat my question: Why is it greedy for one to want what one is entitled to by law? Are you arguing that someone who wants what they are entitled to by law is greedy (expressing an excessive and inordinate desire for wealth) because they want what that which they are entitled to by law?
