$1K is A LOT of money for the average consumer. Outside of a house, a car, it's one of their most expensive purchases. Less complex?, not for the average consumer.

(I take it you have asked them?) The consumer who is spending $1k of his hard earned money on something he knows very little about, first and foremost, doesn't want to make a mistake. Brand makes him feel comfortable, Intel makes him feel comfortable.
