i posted this on rb,in case some of you didn't see it

spoke to ir yesterday

- they're very busy with the onstar project,it's a very complicated and time consuming task, all content including aol's will have to
go through our NOC and be voice enabled
sports, news, email, maps etc. They have to have everything ready for the 2001 models that come out in sept/oct.

- converts are halfway through their 13 millions shares

- prudential, no clear comment, many institutions have increased their activity since nov but many are hedge funds/indexes which
will trade the stock, hard to say which 1's are holding for long term(she will know more when the 13d's(?) are filed from institutions
later this month.

- ghiossi left the company 2 months ago

- according to her website is upto date except for the last pr

-coverage, don't know when but we need to stabilize over 5
for a little a while before that happens

- no pr's expected (unless she didn't want to say)

- the rumors: don't believe any of them

IMO, this is a long term stock with lots of potential
it gets out of hand many times with all the rumors and expectations from the street. If you have the tools u can trade the swings
low and high but the general trend is up
and will continue to inch up as we progress into the later half of the year.Note this trend can always change quickly
with any new surprises and magic is known for them.

Rob

I cannot argue that GMGC should do a better job of PR. It can be aggravating, for sure. But if they deliver the goods, I will be more than happy to excuse their ineptitude in that aspect of their business if it is because of their intensity on meeting the specifications necessary to finalize deals like the OnStar deal.

In time, I believe they will mature as a company and not leave us feeling so neglected.

Meanwhile, I am happy to have had the chance to buy again in the 1's and 2's this fall. I bought originally in that range back in the fall of 1997. Rode it up. Sold some. Rode it back down...painfully. I can tell you that I had bought enough additional shares this fall that I sold off over the last few weeks to be ahead of where I was when GMGC was in the double digits last time. I took a big shot that recently has paid off. Maybe that is why I have some tolerance.

I remain with a nice core position left for the ride ahead, and I look forward to what this year has in store for us, especially if GMGC honors its statements about no more Sharks. It is a huge hurdle to be clearing.

Best wishes.

Seconds Out.

Hi Rob - I have been around along time as well - bought at 15 - bought at 1-1/2 and everything in between. Have ridden the roller coaster mostly down but never sold. I am here until GMGC is either gone or we are wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. I keep going over everything we have all believed and it still comes back to - no one has a better product. Now, the reason I am posting is I bought a 99 Oldsmobile Aurora yesterday and I am having "Onstar" installed. I talked to the owner of the dealership at length about onstar and the future, etc. By the way - I paid $800 to purchase and install it. Right now it has directional instructions, can tell you where you are - if you get a warning light on the dash, it will tell you it's safe to drive or not to drive under those conditions - it gives you the closest dealership - can unlock your doors by satellite, and I haven't even read the book yet -- BUT the real thing was he could not stop talking about the expansion plans for onstar. THEY ARE VERY EXCITED. They WILL have a wireless phone system, etc.thru Onstar and he went on and on. Now he has had his dealership 30 years - a real gogetter kind of guy - and he affirmed they want a million of these on the road this year. IMHO, no matter how it goes down now or how it looks right now, I think it is just a matter of time before we can look back and thank God we had the forsight and intuition to hang in there. At any rate, I love this thread and everyone on it (for the most part). I am not rich but I did just buy a new car thanks to SI, my own DD and my holdings. Here to the end and lol. NancyL
