As long as the revaluation is done in a *controlled* fashion we'll be fine. Unfortunately, it's not just the nets that need to be taken down a bit. There are quite a few industries that have been high growth for some time and now they are all of a sudden mature. That means an adjustment of all their multiples.

Hey, some day Ligand may go that way too. I do not for a minute think that most of our favorite biotechs will survive for another 10-20 years as independent entities. There'll be a gradual process of elimination of the ones that can't produce and absorbtion of the ones that can into the general pharmaceutical industry. In other words, buyouts and mergers. I just don't see the number of mature pharmaceutical companies growing significantly. It's the Borg philosophy :-)
