Chris, The reason for the press releases has been the chip co. love-ins that are currently taking place. Since they need to keep prices high to make money, obviously they are predicting that anyone who is buying a computer for free will be more than willing to pony up $1500. Especially since they have no alternatives, such as Web TV. <g>

My put list is overflowing. All of the financials are sticking their ugly heads up in the face of higher rates, which is idiotic. The old economy is getting bid up for no reason, which means that most of the Dow stocks are put candidates now. I still like the Swiss Franc vs. the dollar, especially as the Swiss are holding the rest of their gold reserves against the day the dollar fails. <g>

Here are some names, most of which I am watching and not buying yet: Adobe, Great Plains, Rambus, AskJeeves, Atmel, C-Cube, Vignette. Some I watched too long, like doggy AtHome, and didn't buy puts for a crash and a half. I always regret the ones I knew about and didn't play a lot more than the ones I play that don't come true. CMGI and ICGE look like layups for downside, but their puts are much expensive.
