Fred, I prefer to look at no growth since 1997 while the stock price has roared. And eps distorted by the internet hedge fund that part of Intel has become. I have no problem with internet hedge funds. I just don't think their experience with internet stocks is sustainable.

Doing something right is, IMHO, not enough for a 40 pe ratio. Doing everything right, such as not letting Apple and AMD kick them out of monopoly status and not losing the notebook war, might deserve a 25 pe. But a growth stock has to grow and Intel has not done so for a very long time while its stock has roared up in price.

Of course, if you say it is cheap vs. Amazon.LosingMoney, then I have to agree. But Goering was nice compared to Hitler, so it isn't much of a comparison. <g>
