When I went to the PC expo...and talked to the Nomad folks..(granted that was this fall)..they said they handled the multiple codec thing through software....it is not embedded or part of the appliance...

but perhaps...they have a newer (EPAC not announced???) version?

Walter- re: Nomad

Hi Walter,

Thought I would continue the discussion regarding the Nomad.

How do you think EDIG and CREAF will position themselves to attract OEM partners?

I would think the one way is for them to provide a vehicle for the labels or portals to exploit the flash OS interface to the user. Players will be SDMI compliant at the core, but may show some proprietary differences at the edges to differentiate market share. Lots of possibilities given the interactivity and web interface.

Think that is a possibility? What do you think these proprietary bells and whistles may entail?... advertising? dynamic credits to a proprietary radio/wireless interface?

Just my opinion.

Jon :)
