Zeev, I suspect he was told that the beads contained product. As you know, some ion exchange resin beads can look like jewels, he just accepted that he was seeing the "product". Your point is valid, but that's how I read it. Just having a working body at the plant was a surprise to me, a plus, irrespective of the number of onion layers.
