AT&T continues it's support for EDGE. ----------------------------------------------- Umesh Amin Elected New Chairman of the Board Of Governors For Universal Wireless Communications Consortium BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2000--The Universal Wireless Communications Consortium (UWCC), a leading wireless group of over 100 operators and vendors of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN), and EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution) technology standards, has officially announced the appointment of Umesh Amin as the new Chairman of the UWCC Board of Governors. Mr. Amin is currently the Director of the New Technologies and Planning Team at AT&T Wireless Services, responsible for new services planning and managing the wireless research program. Gregory G. Additionally, Mr. Amin serves on the editorial board of the IEEE Personal Communications Services Magazine and on the advisory board at the Central Washington University School of Business and Economics.
