Cha2:

Geof Moore's introduction of the Godzilla concept is not accepted widely here as relevant to this thread.
Geof Moore has clearly included Godzillas in the Gorilla Game as a major new concept. Yet Godzillas are "animals non grata" here.

Your issue that you raise here is what to do with Godzillas, and quasi-godzillas.

I cannot speak for the thread, but for myself, I am conflicted about the Godzilla section in TRFM. I have stated here recently, several times, that I think G. Moore is making it up as he goes, that the Godzilla concept is superficial and not adequately fleshed out, that it is a "work in progress", and that we shouldn't exclude godzillas from discussion here.

For example, Moore calls EXDS in his Godzilla chapter a Godzilla, yet I cannot find evidence that it benefits from an "internet options" effect. It looks like a King to me, and I think I have provided enough data to support that position. Because the concept is at best an idea for now, I would urge us not to exclude any company that could be a gorilla or king candidate. I would especially urge us not to lose focus just because a company is Internet-related and might be mis-labeled a godzilla.

I am sure there are those who feel we shouldn't discuss godzillas, and I might agree with them. But since "godzilla" is so poorly defined, and a new concept, and without substance, how can we properly know whether a company is a godzilla?
