I think you are correct abour margins being competed away, but only in the static sense. I think smart companies recognize that the internet puts pressure on margins and will continually evolve to increase productivity internally and with their supply chain. Some companies will adapt far more quickly than others. The stocks we want to own are those that consistently identify new opportunities and quickly exploit them to improve product quality, capability, and availability and reduce customer cost.

I agree that this will happen in the retail world...but this happens anyway. I still believe that the non-retail world will be driven by product differentiation and therefore margins should not be materially affected.
