If you have unlimited funds available, you could keep calling up each and every Globalstar distributor, asking to be signed up for G* service. When every single one says "Sorry, all handsets are gone right now." -- then you will know that G* most probably has 40,000 subscribers already. (When the handsets start being cranked out at a rate of 120,000 per month, this technique would start getting REAL expensive !) Other than my (stupid) idea, I don't think any of us will know what the story is until G* management tells us. Jon.
