How 'bout if SI sets up a program. When qty of reports reaches "Y" start calculations A poster gets reported by the majority of the posters within the last "X" days, the computer automatically suspends for 3 days. Determine the number of individual posters for the period. Determine the number of individual specific reports in that period. Determine the percentages If majority, 3 days off, If not, begin new determination period. Simple No emotional input, no emotional output, no arguments with the judge.

Hi JLA, Police is probably a bad word to use. Maybe "conflict resolver" would be a better term. Unfortunately, policing functions are needed on SI. Some threads like Intel would have been destroyed without Jill's intervention years ago IMO. I agree, the real trick is in picking the right person. They need to have a very special kind of personality and ability to resolve conflicts. Seems to me, the way Jill did it behind the scenes via email was better then SIBob's intervention on the thread method. Sometimes you can reach people in a more personal meaningful way when dealing with them one-on-one, vs on a thread where everyone can see. Sort of relates to "Praise in public, correct in private". Different subject... Check this site out. Anyone wanting to get rid of spammers should download this free program. It works GREAT! And they even hold the messages which were removed from your email account on their servers to view later if you're concerned about missing something.
