t2, I agree you have presented logical reasons for your speculation about JDSU being added to the S&P 500, and have not intentionally started a rumor.

I think the media is simply picking up what they read on these message boards, and presenting it as rumor.

Remember, they don't like us much. Media types (esp. NY media types) are contemptuous of the common man. And they don't think we know squat about investing.

t2--I like the fact that you can speculate on something that will surely happen sooner or later, and the stock rises on that "rumor". :-) Any more rumors up your sleeve?
