INTC and RF

engineer - are you forgetting that they have purchased DSP Communications ? DSP/INTC chips are in CDMA 'phones in Japan.

You may also be aware that they have been successful in poaching key
RF staff from LSI in San Diego - I am also pretty sure they have picked up some QCOM and MOT people along the way, especially after the handset division sale.

Of course they have RF skills.

Re: your remarks about RF noise (well taken, good to see there
are still people who remember that analog circuit design exists),
would the low power consumption of the new Crusoe processor
also imply lower RFI to deal with in products with integrated broadband
wireless?

The answer is surely yes, but I don't know offhand how
significant the benefit would be.
