"These sales at best imply that Jermo is on his way out."

I think the poor guy just needed some cash for Christmas. He must have forgotten to open a Christmas Club account at his local credit union. It can happen to the best of us when we don't plan ahead and save. It takes more to stuff a stocking these days.

Nice movement in ATHM today. It looks like I'll be running some distance tonight if we can hold the gains. It will be my pleasure.

<So if the stock now proceeds to 80, what can you conclude?>

In that case, we conclude that Jermo has a poor grasp of the correlation between the share price and his ability to convey the prospects and vision of his company to the investing community... as it compares to the peer group. By extension, and because his compensation is directly tied to that share price, he has no idea what his services are worth. Of course, that fault alone caps his worth, and that of the shareholders.

Even a blue collar worker knows where he is in the food chain. He has a fair idea of what other employees are paid and how the quality of his work compares... and he knows what comparable companies are paying. If he is smart, he knows how to convey that information to his superior.

Why is it unreasonable to expect one, who is compensated in millions, to have as much grasp of value and PR savvy as a $12/ hr laborer ?
