I hope to get back to the previous post, as I need time to digest it more...hard to concentrate on other subjects when I'm watching stocks.

yes I am going from 2 5400rpm drives to a 7200 rpm drive. I can swap drives etc. and have done all that stuff in the past. I'm not sure what you mean about the difference in data/programs...well some of it.

I realize I need all the dll's and ini files located in my old windows system for all the programs to work...I understand the problems w/ registry some. I can see I will have problems w/ partitions and such transferring all my info.

I hope to get into this more after close, when I can think clearly....all your help/suggestions are appreciated.

I have copied programs from different drives in the past...but I ran into problems tranferring the operating system.

I also have more than one computer if that will help make the transfers
