I will go at this from another direction: I rent an apartment. The landlord does not have the right to place a surveillance camera in the apartment, nor to make "raids", although I have to make reasonable accommodation with his right to periodically inspect the property. My rental establishes a right of privacy that need not be explicitly contractual, making the apartment my domicile as long as I am not in breach of the rental contract. Ownership does not trump every other consideration. Similarly with employment: it cannot be used as an instrument of coercion on matters that are not related to the job.......
