Can't help but notice the short term mood swings of the market and
people on the thread.

Date Dec 15, 99:
MSFT is done with Windows2000; beating sceptics expectations
Wall street comes out with increased earnings and revises
price target upward.

Several people on the thread rejoice. Come out with targets
of how MSFT will be at 140 by Jan 21st expiration of options
Some people even say how it would be at 160 in Jan and could
split and how it could hit 400 in 12 months.

A month later, Jan 13, 2000:
Same MSFT from a product, earnings, revenues point of view.
But press reingites focus to DOJ - MSFT trail. Market is
jittery. Shorts take over.

Several other people on the thread now take over and start
posting how it is a bad time to put money into MSFT, etc..
and how it could go further down, etc..

Opinions:
(a) Either ignore these mood swings completely and focus on
long term.
(b) Take advantage of mood swings by buying at max pain and
selling at max euphoria.

CT: And who insure that the OS company does not collaborate withthe Applications Co.? Yes the government. And MSFT would be burdened with all sorts of constraints to put this into action. No good. Innovation would move as quickly as this trial.

And any time MSFT Apps. Co. got ahead competitors would complain and the government would suspect MS OS of cheating and would halt production with an investigation. Please get a grip this is America not the USSR.
