If we maintain momenteum - laggards, mid & small caps are next. I don't see ESV RDC going to levels of where they were at peak cycle & early 1998 and "staying" there yet... SII BJS are crazy here imo - has to be the fundies with cash they MUST put to use. I can NOT believe that one will not be able to buy BJS SII WFT CAM cheaper during the next few weeks of earnings reporting season. I am loading PGO here, support in mid $12's seems the realistic downside imo. PRU maintained Strong Buy after the pre-warning. Isolated FPSO event - this company is poised like few others for the Boom 2000-1 imho. They ARE the FPSO play, working on smaller designs for the GOM when it opens up. They ARE deepwater in seismic and they have allways bounced back nicely after these types of blow offs. I see this as a chip shot trade back to $15-16, even $18 and really a core - must own longterm. $24 within two qtrs seems reasonable & $30+ in 12mos. I am also steadily accumulating VTS in the low $13's here, VTS could be a 3 bagger at peak cycle (it ran over $20 in 3 mos in 1998 !) - hard to say that for SII CAM WFT BJS ESV NE at these levels. CRK is a gift - again, they loaded cap ex spending/drilling to the 4th qtr, also if RGO retraces on this downgrade today - with one of the few low debt situations among small caps & their Oil exposure - a gift as well at $3 & under. On these moves - I allways look for opportunities to sell a nice breakout mover - that perhaps is getting strongly accumulated by institutions - like GLM today; then buy it back cheaper for a 5-7% short term play. Imo, from a traders standpoint - you allmost have to "start" selling into the strength here if you own GLM ESV RDC on a day like today - when the heavy Institutional buying subsides - we retrace a few bucks on merely the lack of buying & not any real selling pressure; that's when to buy, or re-buy - not today... Today, I like laggards, or selloffs like PGO. I am praying for APA back around $30-$32; man has this company executed this past year or what ? Newest acquisition is oil oriented - and yet another savy move.
