Hello Dave,

;-)

The only good parts of ManageWise are the third-party components, and ZEN ... which isn't really ManageWise! ;-)

;-) And so have a lot of customers ... contributing to a huge revenue stream. I believe that the internal mantra is "If it's junk, but people are paying, then don't fix it. We'll try to fix it when they leave in droves ..." ;-)

They are thinking:

"These fools have been paying huge amounts of money for ManageWise, which doesn't really work. And ZEN for Servers is *really* a cool product which works! (Which it is!) So let's just make the fools pay more and we'll generate lots of revenue!"

They don't care about your whining ... they have a revenue target to hit, and they have crunched the numbers to determine the "pain point" that enough customers are willing to bear. They simply want their cake (ManageWise) and to eat it too (ZEN for Servers) ... ;-)

What's funny is that I can't even think of the internal politics and struggles that must be going on right now. ZEN for Servers now appears to be a hit and so *every* Novell politician is probably dropping everything they are doing to try and *grab* control of the product ... pull it into their "space" to gain the recognition and revenue credit ... and maybe their name in PC Week!

"No way ... it's not a ManageWise product! It has nothing to do with it!" "But ZENworks was included with ManageWise ... so ZEN for Servers should be also!" "No way ... you know that was just a game to be able to tout the sales of ManageWise!" ... and on and on ...

> They need to get a clue and rethink this situation!

My feelings exactly ... it reminds me of charging money for ScheMax ... ;-)
