t2, I just bought JDSU @ 187.5. My thoughts:

- I have been watching the price/volume curve all day.
I like this parameter a lot.
It has remained steady even though the stock was downtrending.
It is a form of positive divergence.

-the bid/ask range was tight all day, and

-volume low; this tells me not a lot of sellers around
willing to part at lower prices.

-The Naz also has been staying tight all day.
I don't see a lot of panic volatility. This tells me that

-People,MMs,( <vbg>; they are people too )are not overly
worried that we will not make the numbers tomorrow.

-I tend to agree. I doubt inflationary CPI will be out tomorrow.

My hunch ( some would call it educated guess gg, is that

-MMs kept market down to buy back as many shares as they can,
for next week's and tomorrow's big rise; i.e. shake off as many little guys as they can.

-Naz and JDSU will rally the last 1/2 to 1 hour of the market.

Again I pose the question:

a dive into the abyss ?

Good luck to all. If I don't make it, I have put my last thoughts in this
envelope and I would appreciate sending it to my wife and mother,

:- )

TA

and PS: I took out the buy order I had in at 182.

205 is not out of the question as long as we get a huge Nasdaq rally going into the CPI numbers tomorrow. Considering how much
nervousness
there has been recently in the markets (bond and stock), it would not surprise me to see a "buy" ahead of the news in stock and bond
markets.
