Just going on my perceptions, I see no need to spend $200+/- to upgrade something that works for me. Unless of course they
discontinue support for W98 completely.


W98 is working for you? Really? You don't have to re-boot? What if I was to tell you that with W2000 that you would never have to re-boot due to lock up, out of memory condition or other software faults? Would you upgrade then? Micrsofot predicts that during the first year of its availability that more than half of the desktops out there will upgrade.
