(OT) CpsOmis - Slider vs SargeK. Slider tells people to get out of a bad "relationship" vs SargeK takes all the abuse he can get. Slider is a trader by nature. Everyone is going to make some bad calls occasionally. What determines the good traders from the bad? The good one's know when to cut their losses. It's almost that simple imho - no emotional attachment.

Many lessons can be learned from FGH is one chooses to.

CpsOmis - be fair, at least mine -

...did not go straight down and lay there like Duane Bobik ?

RRC & MEXP - I assume, are the two trades you refer to ?

All allowed volatility and highly profitable trading opporutinites. RRC did break along with the rest of the sector, the wrong way on the price collapse of Natural Gas - after the JV was completed; I did miss that, but - at least I preached cutting losses. Never have you seen me obsessively preach the virtues of averaging down infinitely and there is probably no one who continually take profits as consistantly on these breakouts.

MEXP also, was a highly profitable trade from where I "talked" about it. I am assuming that it was that "dump it now & find out what's going on - before you re-buy" post that caused your angst/comments. Actually, that trade proved out to be highly profitable for anyone who followed my advice, or ignored it - both had highly profitable exit opporunities and numerous trading opps thereafter.

Neither I, or anyone else needs to post every buy & sell on every stock. In the fall of 1998 I traded CAM for about 3 months back & forth long & short; made a ton of money on it; but I don't think the bandwidth would permit each buy & sell comment.

I'll tell you what - MEXP's story aint over yet by the way... and RRC will be a huge winner by year end - you'll see $5-$7 again in RRC if you're patient - and if you sold when the stock broke the wrong way off of the JV closure - then you got to buy here - which is a total gift.

Got CRK ?

PS - I will pay huge $ in advance for any "leaked" info on SargeK's next obsession play - big $$$$$
