rrufff--Market trading 101.
Now all of this is hypothetical but when someone tells you that they trade any time, anyway they like, they might be talking of an off shore account. Off shore has different regulations than the US. They do not count up the shares they are holding to see if you can short, they don't worry if it is a BB stock, or if it is an IPO. They execute the order.
Like I said hypothetical but it does explain Anthony's statement very clearly.
