PB <"would it", implying the future, vs. "did it", implying the past, correct?>

I can't recall from the CC as I was trying to do a little work at the same time. I believe Apple's current qtr (Q1FY00) is going to be an extra week long, FWIW. In general, I don't think the numbers ought to be scrutinized this closely by anyone. When some firms miss by a small fraction and their stock drops 10%/20% it just doesn't make sense. Often the stocks subsequently recover.

The subjective comments during the CC were interesting and these I believe are more significant. Many of the questions were ones that I felt Intel shouldn't answer (too proprietary) and many of them were not ("too granular") or only partially.

AMD's earnings and CC should be very interesting in light of Intel's past quarter and projection for the next one.

You're welcome on the other comments.
