Does anyone know whether PTEC shareholders will get any
inSilicon share?

Everyone,

BancBoston Robertson Stephens is the lead on the inSilicon deal and I also expect they will pick up coverage on PTEC. If this happens we could soon have four firms covering PTEC two of which have international exposure. This is a very big positive for PTEC.

Just to review PTEC:

1. PTEC has no debt and lots of money in the bank.
2. PTEC BIOS is in 70% of all PC's and the PC market is very strong. BIOS prices are stable.
3. PTEC will soon start recognizing revenue from years of investing in the Itanium BIOS. The ASP for this BIOS will be considerably higher than historical ASP's.
4. PTEC expects between $10 and $15 million from its Internet division this year. This number appears conservative considering they have the first look and the absolute best real estate in the market.
5. The PC market is shifting to laptops where PTEC provides more value and receives a higher ASP. see the below link:

6. PTEC's cost cutting measures should be taking effect.

I think 2000 is going to be our year and I believe we could easily see a stock price in the 30's.
