Playstation's Holiday Sales In U.S. Exceed Initial Projection

FOSTER CITY, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Sony Corp.'s Sony Computer Entertainment America said holiday sales of its PlayStation game console totaled more than $1.5 billion, exceeding the company's projection of $1 billion.

In a press release Thursday, the company said it sold about 3 million units from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 1999.

Sony Computer Entertainment America said its PlayStation business dominated in all sales categories, including hardware, software and peripherals.

PlayStation software had sales of more than 15.1 million games in December.

Don, I have always like hlit.

But I don't think anyone here is investing in rambus for the earnings they report next Tuesday, they are investing for the earnings they anticipate rmbs will have in six to twenty-four months.
