Good point, but that is not the problem we have. It's not the mouse sticking, which would cause the cursor to stop, then start, then stop. This problem manifests itself as a cursor that jumps discontinuously all over your screen when you move the mouse. If you ever saw it, you would immediately recognize it as something different.

I can't stand a dirty mouse. I clean mine frequently.
