Breaking up MSFT wouldn't be so bad!

Imagine having stock in the leading OS company, the leading software company and a great internet company which would probably have a PE over 1000!

Heck, the internet company would probably hold the value of out MFST shares now and the other two would just be a bonus!

blisenko: You are dead wrong. MSFT has so many internet initiatives in the fire it will be revealed as time passes that they more than any other are prepared to be the leader in internet software and internet software development. I offer IE as a perfect example of how quickly MSFT took the lead once they set their course. The gov't. hassle is the only shadow on this stock now and in time that will disappear in the bright light of Justice. JFD

Based on your postings on the SUNW board, it looks like I would have bailed out awhile ago based on posts like this. <snicker>

I think the hammer will come down on MSFT when AOL introduces its next version of Communicator. Combined with SUN's Star Portal the desktop will have real competition. For $21.95 a month you can get state-of-the-art word processing, spreadsheets and graphics. No more upgrades for software. Thank goodness. Everything should be compatible with other. You can save it on a SUNW/AOL/Netscape location or on a commodity PC.
Out with the old and in with the new. By the way, AOL uses SUNW servers.

Just MO, Bob.
