Justa, Re: Greenshades speech... Less 'hawkish' than I had expected & in that light it may encourage more irrational exuberance in the market rather than the opposite.

Although he sprinkled in all the usual cautions & caveats, the net affect could be to encourage a relief rally.

I read it as a quarter point on 2 Feb. but think he should keep a little guesswork cooking by at least reinstating the alleged bias.

Still think the markets will at least smile at his incremental approach (if not continue to laugh in his face). I am more convinced that a sledge hammer approach of a half point would send some much needed fear in to this fearless/foolish market.

P.S. - Found it interesting that he seemed to downplay the CPI as an important indicator.

** Financials **

I sold all of my financials but one today into this rally and booked profits. I did not like the action in FSR and FTU. They released earnings this morning and met their estimates but sold off from a spike in the morning. If interest rates are going up, I suspect I will be able to buy them back again.
