I'm all for the Fed taking action if inflation appears on the horizon. I remember double digit inflation during the Carter years and him blaming our economic problems on the "malaise" of the American people. It was a miserable time. We have strong economic growth, high productivity, almost full employment, middle class wealth creation and no inflation. That's not a sickness that demands a cure.
