Well, tomorrow is January 15, and Argentina is supposed to start Full Commercial Service, according to BLS in the 17Dec conference call.

A check of TESAM Argentina's website
globalstar.com.ar
shows it hasn't been updated for months. (the last press release shown is November 1998!)

A search of Argentina's La Nacion on line also indicates a total absence of recent press coverage of G*.

The web image of G* in the rest of Latin America isn't much better.

TESAM Venezuela took it's site
globalstar.com.ve
down for "reconstruction" a few weeks ago. No indication of when it will be back up.

Peru and Collumbia, also home to TESAM G* Gateways never had sites.

Globalstar (central) Americas site
globalstaramericas.com
has also been under construction for several weeks. No indication of when it will be back on line.

Globalstar Mexico site
globalstar.com.mx
is ALSO under reconstruction. Until this week, the site said it would be back on line in January. Now it says February.

Meanwhile GLP home site under "customer support\coverage" still says as it has for countless weeks: "Globalstar is initiating the first phase of its controlled roll-out of global
service beginning in September/October of 1999. Please continue to
check back as more countries go into service. The 41 countries for initial
service in 1999 are:" followed by list that is totally inaccurate

G* and its affiliates certainly make it difficult for web based consumers and investors to have a favorable opinion about the company.
