The first time I ever played Kapalua, I also didn't play woods, played the game with a driving iron. It is now in my garage sale junk.

Trust me, stop using the irons, pick up the woods and practice till you get it.

I now prefer to play my entire game with woods.
I use 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 woods.
