AHIC, USHO interested parties.

I just pulled this off of a site webmergers.com

What Sectors are Hot?

From the Web M&A Report, June, 1999

Buyers Start Sniffing at the Verticals

Buyers poured an increasing percentage of acquisition dollars into industry-specific web properties in the first half of
1999. While nearly two thirds of this year's deals still involved portals or other sites that apply across a broad set of
users, that proportion was down significantly from nearly 80% for all of 1998. This data suggests that the initial wave
of "big-play" consolidations is tapering off and acquirers are increasingly turning their attention to locking up the big
vertical markets.

This year so far has witnessed major increases in activity in the Health and Medical area, which mushroomed to 19%
in the first half compared with 1% in 1998. The multi-billion-dollar merger of WebMD and Healtheon of course
accounted for most of this increase.

AHIC is getting ready to launch their Web Site.
