Jeff, I asked this question before and did not get an answer, maybe you don't know, but I'll try again.<g>

Was Peter Stein interviewed by several reporters? or was he interviewed by only one and repeatedly quoted by other reporters??

I'm asking because his words are identical (as I recall) from a few different sources.

I also recall that you had stated that he was dropped as a suspect because his alibi was that he had called his mother.

Wasn't the letter from SJ's parents addressed to the "mother of the killer"???

If he was interviewed several times, then I am suspect about the quotes. If quote was repeated, then it's not as big a deal.

Since we are assuming that SJ could have gone back to apt via the campus and not Elm Street and since PS was the last person to have spoken with SJ, what other proof is there that he is not the one??

How close was SJ's relationship with PS?? Casual friends? or good buddies?

If casual friends, I don't find her comments to him about being tired and wanting sleep to be anything more than polite conversation. Do you give intimate details of everything you are about to do to everyone you encounter along the way? I don't.

Did PS have a car? What kind? Did PS have a crush on SJ?
Did SJ know this and was keeping him at arms length?
