If that were true, the price would be stable and if we further extrapolate your thesis of the health of Barrick, the price in fact should be rising.
Double D, the investment community can indeed interrupt a balance sheet and what is evident about barrick, their hedging practices have capped the stocks ability to rise when the price of gold is appreciating. It is also evident that their forward selling of gold is adding additional supply to the market. The simple conclusion why own barrick.
You remind me of the guy whose wife is cheating with everybody in the neighborhood, and yet remain blissful with isn't she the most wonderful person in the world.
Barrick is not at 17 because your wonderful analysis of the company is on the money, rather it is 17 because the company has shot themselves and the industry in the foot.
