hear correctly that INTC is forecasting 61% GROSS MARGIN for 2,000?? If so, INCREDIBLE.


That's right, in fact, one of the analysts on the CC tried to talk Andy Bryant into predicting a HIGHER number than that. The analyst's reasoning was the strong demand going forward and Intel's very low inventories (even Intel said they'd be more comfy with a little higher inventory). Andy responded by saying that the new products (net, wireless, comm) were growing very fast (>50% YOY run rate), but had lower margins than, like Pentium IIIs. Then, Andy said he was quite happy at 61%. Me too.
