Yes, I think that institutions are coming on board and are pounding away at 52-week high. Just saw 15K block at $17.

Alper,

I went into this expecting it to become a $100 stock some day and I wouldn't be that happy about $30. In a vote, I'd vote against it. Around $50, I'd give it some serious thought. We've sat around waiting for Ligand to get drugs on the shelves. Now they're there and we're hopefully about to go profitable. A number of Robinson's past actions are starting to make sense. For example, I now feel much better about the Seragen acquisition since I can see expanded indications on the horizon for Ontak.

I do not wish to tempt the furies, but cracking the $17 barrier is a real possibility today. It's not even clear that there is much of a barrier there. And beyond that, it's virgin territory. The road to $30 might not be that long even without an Elan takeover. As I've said before, assuming profitability and reasonable sales this year, LGND should command a price to sales multiple of at least 20 and that puts us up there all by itself by year's end. Assuming of course that it all comes to pass. But Elan wouldn't tender if they didn't expect it to...

At first I thought $30 was reasonable. But the more I think about it, the less comfortable I am. I really would like to see at least $50. Solid ABC results could take us there very quickly.

And yes, I've seen the movie :-) A long time ago though!

Thanks, Torben
