Dad palmed a dollar and suggested we take another look. Sure enough, the fairy had been there after all. Smiles.

Wow - The going rate is $2 here(one to spend, one in the bank)... The high cost of living in the North East ;)))))

Oh the tooth fairy and her treasure chest......

The tooth fairy who visited the kids in our family was extra special....she left gold coins instead of paper cash !

My mothers tooth fairy had always given her a gold coin (a real real one) and so had mine......and so did my daughter's dental angel....and like I had done in my childhood, my daughter would often gaze upon the treasure every once in a while...so mommy had keep the small pouch in the dresser so it would be easily accessible to her.......

Then, one horrible day our house was burgled......and the gold coins, so lovingly passed on thru generations by tooth fairies, were all gone....

I think I was more heart broken than my daughter was...for I couldn't avoid thinking of her children and how their tooth fairy would never be so special.....
