Greg.. Some people think that Adam ( and Eve ) were in the garden for a long time... I say less than 24 hrs... You know why? Because they never ate of the "Tree of Life" The Tree of Life many believe to represent Jesus ! The Tree of Eternal Life was right in the Midst of the Garden beside the Tree of the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL ! Many people say that tree was actually called in the Hebrew.. The Tree of DECIDING Good and Evil. As in being the one who would decide for themselves what was right and wrong rather than God the TRUE LAW GIVER !!! ( That I do not know for sure ) I do see that the unredeemed and many carnal and disobedient men refuse to accept that God's Law is the TRUE LAW... They instead say THEY WILL DECIDE what is right for them :-{ Look at how Jesus put this "statement" into a parable He told those who "pretended" to Love God's Law: Luke 19:12 He said therefore, A certain noblemanwent into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. Jesus was talking about Himself and the "citizens" are the unsaved people of this world. RE>>To take away from the tithe is to take away from the message of the cross.<< The word of God came to Malachi concerning those who decide they are "free" from the "legalistic" Tithe: Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. God calls it stealing ! Now how foolish can any man be to try to steal from God?? The Government takes 50% and God requires only 10%... if your going to cheat.... Pick on the Godless Government... but Jesus said even this about the Tithe and Taxes: Matthew 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? Greg do you know why the Pharisees asked Jesus if it was "LAWFUL" to pay the Tribute ( taxes ) to Ceasar?? Because Ceasar had raised the Taxes to 10% making himself EQUAL to God and they were furious... Boy if they could see us up here in Canada.. well over 50% goes to Ceasar now !!! Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. People are afraid to cheat on their taxes because they MIGHT GET CAUGHT.... I GUARANTEE those who cheat God of the Tithe ARE CAUGHT ALREADY !!! Malachi 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. What fools... Is it not God who Blesses and feeds us.. Even a dog will not bite the Hand that Feeds It. This is the ONLY PLACE in scripture where GOD asks us to TRY HIM!!! Every where else we are warned not to tempt the Lord but look: Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. God has commanded us to "PROVE HIM" and see if He is not telling the truth to those who will tithe 10% faithfully.I love the Book of Malchi! Do you FEAR GOD GREG ( I know you do ) Look at this blessed Promise to those who fear and love God more than the things of this world: Malchi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. These are the precious promises of our God who will not lie!
