Ditto, in spades as to learning from George. I'd also point out that much of the investing world doesn't exist on the net. In the past, some Gilder picks have moved up 3 months later when Forbes ASAP was published with the delayed copy of the GTR text. These stocks perform due to their own fundamentals, and probably more often than not, can be had at or below his reference point at many points in time after he publishes. If one wants to catch a pop and get out, one hasn't listened to George very closely at all. If you know WHY he picks these, you hold and perhaps get QCOM-like gains no matter what price you paid. A mention by George doesn't cause a stock to realize tomorrows potential today by a long shot. Understand George and hold as you see fit, then you may appreciate being a subscriber.

George has mentioned that he KNOWS the internet will disseminate his info quickly. There is precious little he could do about it even if he might like to, and IMO, it really wouldn't be worth the effort. I like to think it's rather spiffy that his info CAN disseminate so fast...which, I believe, is a major point behind his picks in the first place, if you see what I mean. Those who are disgruntled that they can't get in before a first day bump ought to maybe go follow Tokyo Joe(substitute at will) and try holding HIS picks long. Why do people seem to want Gilder to worry about trying to operate as though his point was to be a short-term P&D source? It's just not the point.
