Hi Steve ..

was just thinking about you ..

BOJ is now draining large amounts of liquidity that they put there for Y2K.

supply / demand rules say that the cost (value) of the yen then goes up.

TrimTabs has available liquidity to drive this bull higher has come from sharp rise in consumer credit+margin.

Series of events=return of the rise of the yen. -> return to the fall of the bond -> return to the rise in the price of stocks... until it runs out of gas.

We are currently in the pre time frame for the option pivot cycle. I'm still not sure if the just ending cycle filled or not. The current figure that I have on the SPX was supposed to be 1372.55 .. 1377 was close but no cookies. I suspect that two factors came into play. Large amounts of OI in the options rolled from Nov straight into Jan., skipping over Y2K. Second is the huge amounts of funny money injected by the fed, which they are now trying to pull back. Hard job to do without causing the collapse of the market.

ETA for out of gas = 1/19-1/24 .. short pull back until window dressing time, then the resumption of fall.

INTC@ 105 ?? you bot or sold or saw?

The old run up into earnings had me running for the putz there ..

selling putz as an entry method, callz for exit .. double your pleasure .. double your fun. If you're wrong .. darn just get to keep that nasty prem ..

BTW carry trade reported back on the rise.

Another thought ..

as the fuel runs thin, the idea of the big boyz pushing the indexes could be used like : short the SPX futures offset by long the OEX futures (or just plain big boyz stock).. would have to watch this one close.

just a thought ..
