Hi Bill:

The PWeeIII problems first surfaced for public attention in October. Since that time repeated promises, as you have pointed out on several occasions, of a some-time-in-the-future competitor to the Athlon have failed to materialize for any number of reasons (reminds me of the Monty Python World's Chees Emporium skit)...

It seems that the PWeeIII architecture has run out of stamina and indeed is exhibiting the characteristics of an overextended and wholly fatigued competitor in its efforts to keep pace with the young new champion, the Athlon! I suspect that Wednesday's news conference wiil provide concrete evidence of this assertion!

Quite a day today...Unbelievable strength as AMD sliced through the $38 resistance with little difficulty...Looks like $48.50 next week cannot be considered unrealistic!

(Tech stocks that get up a head of steam, as has AMD in the past 3 months, when reinforced by positive earnings (i.e well in excess of consensus of negative $0.07, e.g. minimum $0.31), often run faster and further than what seemed like exagerated price targets as short a while ago as 2 months!)
Sincerely hope you are benifiting from the recent runup Bill!
